Two things...

First, a little about my sources. Unless I note otherwise, all of my information, images, etc. come from University of Louisville Digital Collections, Kentucky Virtual Library, The Encyclopedia of Louisville by John Kleber, Google photo and map searches, my personal collection of photos and notes, and stories told to me first-hand by elderly Louisvillians who've lived here all their lives and remember the buildings well.

Second, I've been asked why I don't feature historic homes on this blog; Louisville has many. While I appreciate their architecture and find their pasts interesting, this blog focuses more on the downtown area and moreover, public structures. I'd love to delve into old residences and the illustrious families who called them home, but that deserves its own separate blog, and I just don't have the time to manage two :)

Thanks to everyone for keeping up with my posts. I'm always looking to add new ones. But don't forget previous posts. I often go back in and add new information, pictures, links, etc. So, don't forget to backtrack through the blog every once in a while. Thanks again. --- Philip Campbell
