Baptist Hospital, 810 Barret Ave.

Opened 1924, closed 1989 when Baptist Healthcare consolidated operations in the Breckinridge Ln. area (Encyclopedia of Louisville, John Kleber). Louisville Metro government used it as its Urban Government Center for a long time. Beautiful building; for the most part unchanged (looks like the entrance/lobby was redone at some point). [Louisville government is currently in the process of finding a purpose for this whole property. Sadly, the old hospital has been demolished.]
